is opening this spring in downtown Madison next to the Overture Center. Cento will focus on local ingredients and authentic Italian preparation methods with a modern twist. Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining excellent customer service and hospitality throughout all levels of front of house service. General duties can include hiring FOH employees, training, scheduling, labor and cost control, daily deposits and bookkeeping work and other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Banquet Server – The banquet server is responsible for the proper set up and take down of events, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring that each guests’ needs are attended to. Baker

The baker is responsible for preparation of a variety of recipes including breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, pies and other baked goods. Duties will include measuring, mixing and preparing ingredients while using a variety of baking tools and equipment. Bakers must maintain compliance in food handling, sanitation and cleanliness.

The primary responsibility of the bartender is to ensure all guests receive excellent beverage service. General duties can include direct bar service to guests as well as assisting server beverage orders, side work and other duties as assigned to ensure that guest needs are fulfilled. Applicants should have previous restaurant and or bar experience, current Bartending License and possess an outgoing personality, positive attitude and commitment to working well within the FOH team.

Banquet Bartender

The banquet bartender is responsible for the proper set up and take down of events, assisting with beverage service, and ensuring that each guests’ needs are attended to. Busser

The busser is responsible for ensuring the proper set up of various areas of the restaurant for service. A busser’s duties generally include monitoring and clearing tables, cleaning and setting tables for service, bringing dishes to the kitchen, cleaning up any spills or messes on the dining room floor, cleaning and refilling condiments and working with other members of the FOH team to ensure guest satisfaction. Candidates must also be detail oriented, friendly and have the ability to carry dishes, dish tubs, trash containers and stand for long periods of time.

Delivery Driver

The delivery driver's primary objective is to deliver products to customers in a courteous, friendly, and timely manner. Duties include taking, entering, and checking orders for accuracy. Other duties may include washing dishes, preparing of various foods, and supporting the restaurant operations as needed. Candidates must have their own vehicle, clean driving record, and have proper automobile insurance.

General duties include food planning and preparation, scheduling and supervision of staff, and adherence to Back of the House Operating Systems to remain compliant with requirements for food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness.

The host or hostess serves as the first point of contact for customers and therefore is one of the most vital roles in the restaurant. Responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, as well as maintaining the waiting list. Other duties may include answering the phone, and booking reservations. No experience necessary, but a friendly personality, patience, and the ability to multi-task are a must.

Runner

The runner’s primary goal in the restaurant is to run food out to customers in the dining room and bar areas. They must be able to lift trays that can weigh 30 pounds, and be able to consistently deliver food to the correct customer. Additionally, some expediting duties can be included, as well as a small amount of bussing and other table maintenance. The runner is a support staff, and they are here to ensure that everything runs smoothly and food is delivered in a timely fashion.

The principal objective of the server is to provide excellent customer service and ensure that each guest has a superior dining experience. Previous serving experience and knowledge with point-of-sale systems preferred.

Daily Duties include staffing Monty’s bakery counter (selling pies/cakes, making shakes/malts, stocking/cleaning) and assisting the service staff with running food, stocking, cleaning, rolling silverware, helping with to-go orders etc. As one of the restaurants most visible faces, an enthusiastic upbeat personality is a must! The ability to multi-task is key and a "say yes" approach to hospitality is the cornerstone of the position.

Shift Manager

The shift manager is primarily responsible for leading and directing FOH staff in all aspects of dining room service. A shift manager’s duties general include communicating with both FOH and BOH staff to ensure proper service, handling and correcting customer complaints, train and direct FOH staff on all levels of service, prepare customer checks and accept payments, and other duties as assigned. Candidates must be detail oriented, friendly and outgoing with the ability to lead by example.
